Things to see and do at the Amalfi Coast

Situated along the southern edge of Italy’s Sorrentine Peninsula, the Amalfi Coast is a stunning stretch of coastline.
The area is a popular holiday destination and with quaint beaches and fishing villages surrounding the area, it’s not hard to see why.
With stunning natural landscapes, sea and sand, it’s the perfect place for a relaxing beach holiday with your family or friends in the sun.
Luckily you will also have plenty to see and do if you choose to holiday here, making it an ideal choice for those who like to get up to a bit more than just lying on the beach while they are on holiday. Because the area is home to so many different villages, each with its own character and quirks, it’s the perfect opportunity to explore different areas.
Read on to find out about all of the things that you can see and do at the Amalfi Coast.
Positano
This Cliffside village features a pebbled sea front and narrow, winding streets, most of which are lined with cafes and shops, perfect for daytime exploring and eating out, where you will be able to sample delicious Italian food. While you are here, be sure to visit the Cathedral that was dedicated to Saint Nicola. It was built around 1400 and is a stunning example of Italian architecture, featuring pink marble and Latin crosses.
Atrani
The second smallest village in the whole of Italy, this little gem on the Amalfi Coast is one of the rare areas along the coastline that has managed to maintain some of that ‘fisherman’s village’ appeal. Right at the heart of the village you will find the church of San Salvatore and the stone fountain, both of which are worth visiting while you are in the area. Atrani truly is a natural masterpiece and is a place that many choose to visit to get away from the hustle and bustle of lively Italian cities.
Conca dei Marini
Many movies stars and famous people choose to visit here when they are in Italy, so you’ll know that you are in good company. While you are here, be sure to check out the Grotta dello Smeraldo, a cave that features some of the most stunning colours in nature and is perfect for a romantic retreat with that someone special.
Furore
Do you love getting closer to nature, greenery and mountains? If the answer’s yes, you’ll love visiting Furore, where you’ll have the chance to explore dreamy streets, perfect for lazy days with your other half. Find a relaxing café or restaurant to enjoy an evening meal as you listen to the sound of the waves crashing. Pure bliss.
